About Anora—a message from the founder & designer
My name is Nathalie Tsoy. I am a musician, a piano teacher, and a mother of two children.
As a part of my family’s trade and cultural exchange business (UzTradeCanada), I am happy to present you with my first-ever fashion collection inspired by the rich textile traditions of my home country of Uzbekistan.
This collection is a combination of a vibrant handwoven silk and cotton textile—a century-old craftsmanship technique called “Abrband,” also referred to as “tying a cloud,”—and a chic, elegant, contemporary design.
I named my brand Anora—a play on the word “Anor,” meaning a pomegranate in Uzbek, and the name “Anora,” meaning “honor” (in Latin), or otherwise “light” or “grace” (in Hebrew).
This initiative is a reflection of a different me—a fashionista! Fashion is—and always has been—a part of my existence, a passion I inherited from my mother, my first ever inspiration.
Anora Apparel and Accessories is a fusion of tradition and modernity, where the True North meets Eastern Wonders—every day indulgence for staying stylish and feeling comfortable!
